Online personal training for busy professionals

Online coaching from CAL.507 is 1-to-1 coaching delivered remotely anywhere in the UK, built for people with demanding jobs and unpredictable weeks. Paul Callender builds the training and nutrition round the time you genuinely have, then adjusts it every week as your life moves.

You do not need a different life. You need a plan that assumes the one you have.

§01 Fit

Who this is for, and who it is not

Being told honestly that something is not for you is worth more than being sold it. Both lists matter.

This is for you if

  • You trained seriously at some point and stopped when work and family took over.
  • Your week is genuinely unpredictable and every rigid plan you have tried has broken.
  • You want to get back in shape without your job, your family or your social life shrinking to make room.
  • You would rather be told the truth about what it takes than sold a shortcut.

This is not for you if

  • You do not actually want to change anything, you just want to be told you are fine as you are.
  • You want the result without the work that produces it.
  • You will not ask for help when you are struggling.
  • You do not want to talk to your coach between sessions.
  • You would rather be left alone with a plan than be held to it.
§02 Inclusions
What you get

What is included

Listed plainly, with no padding.

A training programme built for your week
Written for the days you can actually train, the equipment you actually have, and where you are actually starting from. It is delivered through the CAL.507 app, so it is on your phone in the gym rather than in a PDF you have to keep reopening.
Nutrition you can hold down
Macros and guidance set around how you really eat, with the reasoning explained so you know what to do when a meal out or a bad week lands.
Structured check ins
Weight, measurements, progress photos, training performance, steps, adherence, sleep, recovery, hunger and energy. The whole picture, so a decision is never made off one number on a set of scales.
Direct access to Paul
A WhatsApp line to the person writing your programme. Not an account manager, not a chatbot, and not a queue.
Accountability that comes to you
If Paul has not heard from you three times in a week, he will come and find you. The service is actively managed rather than a plan you download and forget.
Education, roughly every fortnight
Videos, guides and resources on training, nutrition and mindset, so you finish knowing why it worked and can keep it going without a coach.
§03 A week
The reality

What a week as a client actually looks like

Concrete and day by day, because vague promises are what every other coaching site offers.

  1. Day one

You are invited into the CAL.507 app and complete a questionnaire covering your training history, your goals, your week and anything affecting either. You send starting photos and measurements.

  2. Within three days

Your training programme and nutrition plan are built and uploaded, along with videos explaining how to run the programme, how check ins work and how your macros fit your week.

  3. Your first week

A lot of contact, on purpose. Paul is checking you understand the plan, the food and the app, and fixing anything that is not landing before it becomes a habit.

  4. Every week after

You train, you log it, and you stay in contact. If a session overruns or a day falls apart you say so and the week gets adjusted, rather than written off.

  5. At your check in

Everything gets looked at together: the numbers, the photos, how training felt, how you slept and how the food went. Then Paul decides what changes and what stays.

  6. When something needs changing

It changes because there is a reason, not because it is a new week. If the programme is working, it stays exactly as it is.

§05 Questions

Online personal training, answered

What is online personal training?

Online personal training is 1-to-1 coaching delivered remotely. Your coach builds your training and food around your week, reviews how it went at a weekly check in, and changes the plan when there is a reason to, while you do the sessions yourself at whichever gym or home setup you have.

What does online personal training include?

A training programme and nutrition plan written for you, the CAL.507 app for your programme and check ins, weekly reviews of your numbers, photos, training and sleep, and WhatsApp access to Paul directly in between.

How much does online personal training cost?

CAL.507 does not publish a price for ongoing coaching, because the honest answer depends on your situation. Price is covered on the free 15 minute call, once there is enough to go on to tell you what you actually need.

Is online personal training worth it?

It is worth it if your problem is sticking to a plan rather than finding one, and you will stay in contact with your coach. If you need someone beside you in every session, it is not the right thing to buy, and Paul will tell you that on the call.

Is Paul qualified?

Level 4 qualified in personal training, strength and conditioning, and exercise and nutritional interventions for obesity and diabetes. CIMSPA registered, and coaching since 2014 after 23 years in the British Army.

How do we communicate?

Through the CAL.507 app for your programme, your check ins and your progress, and over WhatsApp for everything in between. You are messaging Paul directly, not an assistant. It works the other way round too: if he has not heard from you three times in a week, he will come and find you.

What if I travel a lot for work?

Travel weeks are planned for rather than written off. Training gets adjusted to what is available where you are, hotel gym or nothing at all, and food is handled around eating out and airports rather than pretending you will cook. Tell Paul the week is coming and it gets built in.

What equipment do I need?

Less than most people expect. The programme is written around what you actually have access to, whether that is a full gym, a rack and some dumbbells at home, or very little. Tell Paul what you have on the call and the plan is built to it, rather than you being handed a plan and told to find the equipment for it.

What if my gym is rubbish?

It gets worked around. A programme is written for the equipment in front of you, so a limited gym changes which exercises are used, not whether you make progress. If a machine you need does not exist there, the plan uses something that does.

Do I need to track everything I eat?

Not everything, and not forever. What gets tracked is set around you, and a check in looks at the whole picture rather than one number: how training went, how you slept, how recovery, hunger and energy are, alongside weight, measurements and photos. A decision never gets made off the scales alone.

Do I need to be in Newcastle?

No. Coaching is entirely online and covers the whole of the UK. Paul is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, but you will never need to travel to train with him.
