Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data CAL.507 collects, why, who it reaches and what your rights are. Data reaches CAL.507 in two ways only, each one your choice: a WhatsApp message with your quiz answers, and the booking calendar.
Who is responsible for your data
CAL.507 is the coaching business of Paul Callender, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and is the data controller for anything you submit through this site.
For anything to do with your data, including asking for a copy or asking for it to be deleted, call or text Paul on 07531 237153.
What is collected, and where
The quiz
The quiz keeps your answers in your own browser, and nothing is sent anywhere while you answer. At the end of the free quiz, pressing submit opens WhatsApp with your answers typed into a message to Paul. Nothing reaches him unless you press send, and if you do, he sees your message and your WhatsApp number as he would in any other chat. On the booking page, your answers are passed to the booking calendar if you open it, so Paul can read them before the call. If you do neither, they go nowhere.
The booking calendar
The booking calendar is provided by a third party and collects whatever you enter when booking, typically your name, email address and answers to any booking questions. It is only loaded when you press the button to open it, so it collects nothing unless you choose to use it.
What is never collected
No payment details are taken on this site. There are no accounts and no passwords. No health data is requested beyond anything you volunteer in a written answer, and you should not include medical detail in a form: bring that to a conversation instead.
Why it is collected, and on what basis
- To prepare for your call. This is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, because you chose to book.
- To run the coaching if you become a client. That becomes performance of a contract, and is covered by the client agreement rather than this notice.
Your details are not sold, rented or shared for anybody else's marketing, ever.
How long it is kept
Bookings are kept while there is a live reason to keep them, which includes following up later about coaching. Client records are kept for the duration of coaching and afterwards for as long as there is a legal or business reason, including the six years HMRC requires for anything with a financial element.
Nothing is kept indefinitely for its own sake, and you can ask for your details to be deleted at any point.
Who else sees it
This site has no forms that send data anywhere. The only services that receive anything you enter are WhatsApp, if you choose to send your quiz answers to Paul, and the booking calendar, if you choose to open it.
The booking calendar is Calendly, which receives whatever you enter when booking and holds it under its own privacy policy. Coaching itself runs through a coaching app and through WhatsApp, both of which hold what you put into them. Some of these providers store data outside the UK, under the safeguards their own terms set out.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies. It uses no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking of any kind, and it makes no requests to any third party server: the fonts, images and scripts are all served from this domain. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The one exception is the booking calendar, which is a third party embed and may set its own cookies. It only loads if you press the button to open it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to:
- see the personal data held about you;
- have anything inaccurate corrected;
- have it deleted;
- restrict how it is used;
- object to it being used;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, which does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Ask using the contact details in the footer of this site. There is no charge, and you will get an answer within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or on 0303 123 1113. Raising it directly first is welcome but not required.
